Ingredients

  • 1 small wheel brie cheese about 4 ounces, rind on
  • 2 –3 tablespoons honey plus extra for drizzling

For Serving (optional)

  • Sliced French baguette
  • Crackers
  • Apple slices
  • Grapes
  • Strawberries
  • Celery sticks
  • Pecans or walnuts
  • Dried cranberries

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a small baking sheet or oven-safe dish with parchment paper or foil.
  • Using a small knife, gently score the top rind of the brie in a crisscross pattern. Be careful not to cut all the way through the cheese.
  • Place the brie on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle honey evenly over the top.
  • Bake for 5–7 minutes, or until softened and slightly gooey in the center.
  • Remove from oven and drizzle with additional honey if desired.
  • Serve immediately with bread, crackers, fruit, vegetables, or nuts.

Notes

  • Keep the rind on - it helps hold the cheese together while baking.
  • Don’t overbake or the cheese may completely collapse.
  • For extra flavor, top with chopped toasted pecans, walnuts, fig jam, or hot honey.
  • Want to make it extra fancy? Wrap the brie in puff pastry before baking.
