December 5th is VERY late for getting the first snow of the season here in Connecticut. We have had blizzards in October a few times in years past. We had a dusting a couple of weeks ago, but I don’t count that. I count real, plow-able snow.
I’m not a fan. I grew up here in Connecticut, and I think I liked snow when I was a kid. It’s been a few years, but I THINK I remember WANTING to go out and play in this white, cold, wet STUFF. I remember my brothers making tunnels and snow paths in the back yard and all of us sliding down into the woods, trying not to run into the trees on the way down. I loved it. Today, not so much.
Moose loves it.

He would probably play all day out there in the snow. And if he has a ball, he is golden. He runs around like a nut, chasing his ball, losing his ball, finding his ball, running with his ball … for a 6 year old pup, he acts like a puppy out there!
I must admit, it’s beautiful out there. From my window. Inside my warm, dry home. Some people have never seen snow in person. I’ve been here in Connecticut 58 years and I’m good with only seeing snow in a book, in photos or on television. I’ve turned into a beach girl, that’s for sure. But for today, I’ll like it a LITTLE bit. 😉

Snow!!! ❄️
I’ll send you some! lol
I’m not a fan of the cold weather and the snow is pretty to look at but…. Does this mean we’re going to have 5 snow storms? They used to say the number of storms depends on the first snowfall…. Hope not
Shhh… don’t say that TOO loudly! We have been blessed with a calm season so far, without snow. This first snow storm was manageable! I do NOT want 5 snow storms! I know, some people say, “Hey, you live in New England, you should be used to snow!” Eh, I don’t have to like it. LOL
