Baked Brie with Honey

Warm, creamy, and just a little bit indulgent – this Baked Brie with Honey is one of my go-to appetizers. It looks elegant on a charcuterie board, but the secret is… it takes less than 10 minutes to make! A drizzle of honey melts into that soft, rich brie and suddenly you’ve got a sweet-and-savory bite that everyone stands around.

There are some appetizers that just feel fancy – but secretly require almost zero effort. This is one of them. Baked brie with honey is warm, creamy, salty, sweet, and completely irresistible. It’s the kind of appetizer that everyone gathers around, dipping little torn pieces of French bread into that silky melted cheese … while pretending to have “just one more bite.”

Whenever I put together a charcuterie board (especially around the holidays), I always include baked brie. It looks elegant, but truthfully? It takes less than 10 minutes. We’re talking: unwrap the cheese, drizzle with honey, bake, done. That’s it. No fuss. No chopping. No whisking. No nothing.

And yet, it never fails – someone always asks for the recipe.
I just smile. 😉

This is one of those hostess back-pocket recipes that makes you look like you really have it all together – even if you’re still in slippers cutting grapes.

And I give kudos to my sister-in-law, who started making this for family get togethers and I fell INTO the plate. “WHAT is this goodness, and where has it been all of my life?”  It’s YOUR fault Sonia. 😉

Why You’ll Love This Baked Brie

  • Only 2 ingredients
  • Ready in under 10 minutes
  • Feels fancy without any effort
  • Pairs with just about everything on your cheese board

Ingredients

(Serves 4-6 depending on how cheese-obsessed your friends and family are)

  • 1 small wheel of Brie (about 4 ounces; keep the rind on)
  • 2–3 tablespoons honey, plus more for drizzling

For Serving (choose your favorites):
French baguette, crackers, sliced apples, grapes, strawberries, celery sticks, pecans, walnuts, dried cranberries, etc.

How to Make Baked Brie with Honey

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a small baking sheet with foil or parchment.
  2. Prepare the brie. Gently score or slice just the top rind (don’t cut all the way through – this helps the cheese stay together when it melts).
  3. Drizzle with honey. Right over the top.
  4. Bake for 5–7 minutes, until the cheese softens and starts to ooze just a bit. Don’t overbake.
  5. Serve warm with your favorite bread, crackers, fruit, or nuts.

Then watch it disappear.

Make It Your Own

Once you’ve made it once, you’ll see just how easy it is to customize.

Topping or Style What to Do Why It’s Delicious

Hot Honey or Pepper Jelly Drizzle before or after baking Sweet heat = game changer
Toasted Nuts Add pecans or walnuts (toss with butter + brown sugar for extra yum) Extra crunch + flavor
